I can name weather types and say 'It's [weather]'.

It's a [adjective] day.

This frame lets children describe the weather using 'it's' plus an adjective, the standard A1 way to talk about weather in present simple.

1. 5′Warm-up — Teacher looks out the window (or points to a picture) and says 'It's sunny!' or 'It's rainy!' with big gestures. Children copy the gestures and repeat the phrase together.
2. 10′Presentation — Teacher shows flashcards one by one for sunny, rainy, cloudy, windy, snowy, and stormy, saying 'It's a sunny day' each time with a matching action (shielding eyes for sunny, shivering for snowy). Children repeat each phrase three times chorally.
3. 10′Practice — Teacher holds up a flashcard and asks 'What's the weather?'; children answer as a class 'It's [weather]!' Then teacher calls individual children to pick a card and say the sentence alone, drilling the fixed structure 'It's a [adjective] day' until it's automatic.

  Give each child a paper with six weather pictures (sun, rain, cloud, wind, snow, storm). Read the script aloud slowly, twice. Children point to or circle the correct picture as they hear each sentence.
