Privacy Policy

LingoChorus is a tool for teachers. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights — and, importantly, how the product is designed not to collect personal data about individual children.

Draft — not yet in force. This is placeholder wording provided for review only. It has not been checked by a qualified lawyer and is not legally binding until a finalised version is published by AxixOS Operations Ltd. Everything in [square brackets] must be completed or verified before publication.

Effective date: [to be confirmed on publication] · Draft last written: July 2026 · Provider: AxixOS Operations Ltd (registered in Malta, company no. C 115851; Wardija Gardens, Alley in il Wardija Wardija Court, first building on left on Wardija Gardens, 6 Triq Tac Cawl, Qala QLA 1513, Malta).

1. Who we are

LingoChorus (“we”, “us”) is operated by AxixOS Operations Ltd, a company registered in Malta (company no. C 115851), at Wardija Gardens, Alley in il Wardija Wardija Court, first building on left on Wardija Gardens, 6 Triq Tac Cawl, Qala QLA 1513, Malta. For any privacy question, contact hello@lingochorus.com (or our data protection contact, [privacy@lingochorus.com / DPO details]).

2. Who this applies to

LingoChorus is used by teachers and educators. Children do not create accounts, and there is no child-facing chat. This policy covers the personal data of the teachers and school staff who use the service.

3. What we collect

  • Account:your email address, used for passwordless (“magic-link”) sign-in.
  • Profile (optional):teacher name, school name, country, age groups you teach, your students’ first language, and the link/promo you first arrived from.
  • Lesson content: the briefs you enter and the packs you generate and save (plan, vocabulary, song, flashcards, worksheet, quiz), including your edits and the generated images and audio.
  • Class results:how a class did on a check, recorded only at class level (“most got it / mixed / most missed”) — never linked to an individual student.
  • Usage & billing: records of your generations (model, token counts, image/song counts, estimated cost), and your plan and payment status via our payment processor.
  • Waitlist: your email and plan interest, if you join the waitlist.
  • Technical: cookies (see the Cookie Policy) and basic security and log information (e.g. IP address, timestamps) needed to run and protect the service.

4. How we use it, and our legal bases

  • To provide the service you ask for — performance of a contract.
  • To keep it secure, prevent abuse, and meter usage / enforce plan limits — legitimate interests.
  • To understand and improve the product — legitimate interests.
  • To send you service messages, and (only with your consent) occasional product news — consent / legitimate interests.
  • To meet legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising profiling.

5. AI generation and your content

To compose a lesson, your brief and related text are sent to our AI sub-processors (below), which process it to produce your pack. They act as processors on our behalf and, under their API terms, [do not use API content to train their models — to be confirmed per provider]. Generated images and audio are stored so your saved packs keep working.

6. Sub-processors

We rely on the following third parties to run the service:

7. Children's data

LingoChorus is a teacher’s tool, not a children’s service. Children do not register, and there is no free-form chat for children. We do not ask for, or store, the names or personal details of individual students — assessment is recorded only at class level. Teachers should not enter personal data about identifiable children into briefs or edits. [Position under COPPA / UK Age-Appropriate Design Code / GDPR-K to be confirmed with counsel.]

8. When we share data

With the sub-processors above; with your school or team if you use a shared/school plan; where required by law or to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a business sale or reorganisation (with continued protection). We never sell your data.

9. International transfers

Some processing happens outside [your jurisdiction] (for example, US-based providers). Where it does, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as [Standard Contractual Clauses / UK IDTA / adequacy decisions — to be confirmed].

10. How long we keep it

Account and profile data until you delete your account or ask us to; saved packs and media until you delete them; usage and billing records for [X years] for accounting; waitlist entries until launch or you unsubscribe. Backups are cycled on a rolling basis.

11. Security

We use encryption in transit, database row-level security, restricted service credentials and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly to any incident.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you are, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, email hello@lingochorus.com. As we are established in Malta, our lead supervisory authority is the Maltese Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDPC); you may also complain to your local authority in the EU/EEA.

13. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the effective date above; we’ll flag material changes.
