Our story
LingoChorus didn’t start as an AI project. It started with frustration — watching newly qualified ESL teachers hunt across a dozen websites for a song, some vocabulary, a grammar activity, a worksheet, a set of slides. Every piece existed. None of them worked together, and the lesson still had to be assembled by hand, every week. No platform solved the whole process, so we built one — not another worksheet generator, but an end-to-end lesson workflow.
The philosophy
Our favourite phrase on the team is close the loop. One brief. One workflow. One complete lesson — everything connected. And it runs further than a single lesson: plan, teach, assess, re-plan. What a class misses this week comes back woven into next week’s lesson, without the teacher having to remember to do it. The loop is the product.
Why songs and stories
Children remember music. They remember stories. They remember characters. So LingoChorus writes an original song on the exact language you’re teaching, and wraps every lesson in one consistent world — recurring characters and a single art style — so a course feels alive and lived-in rather than a pile of clip-art. The song isn’t decoration; it’s how the grammar gets drilled.
What makes us different
Most AI education tools generate content — a worksheet here, an image there — and leave you to make the pieces agree. That reconciliation is the slow, thankless part of prep. LingoChorus designs the whole lesson instead: the plan introduces the language, the flashcards show it, the song repeats it, the worksheet practises it, the quiz checks it. Planning becomes minutes, not hours.
Fresh eyes
We came at this from outside education technology. Instead of asking how lesson planners have always worked, we asked a simpler question: if we designed this workflow today, from scratch, what would a teacher actually want? That let us strip out the complexity and rebuild lesson planning for the AI era.

LingoChorus was founded by Simon Parrott — a software developer with a long habit of turning complicated systems into simple, intuitive tools. He also holds TEFL and TESOL teaching qualifications, and academic study in Humanities, Business Studies and Law from The Open University, so he understands language teaching from a trained educator’s side as well as a builder’s.
Unable to find a platform that solved that whole workflow, he built one. That combination — someone who understands both how a classroom works and how to build technology that genuinely helps it — is why LingoChorus feels made for teachers rather than at them.
